Traditional Tuscan Dining Experience
A highlight of returning to Italy for us continues to be our welcome and farewell Tuscan dinners created by the Signora of the villa where we stay near San Gimignano. This visit continued to impress us and our guests! We dined on the following menu using fresh local produce washed down with our favorite Chianti Classico:-
- Antipasti comprising local salame with fig; caprese salad of fresh mozarella and tomatoes; crostini with tartufo;
- Housemade spinach ravioli with walnut sauce;
- Roast veal with shallot and carrot sauce with roast potatoes;
- Panna cotta with fresh strawberry and vin santo sauce!
We have definitely returned to heaven!!! Bella Toscana!!
